I'd like to see how Tony LaRussa, a man who uses charts and numbers for everything, could justify using a pitcher who has never pitched on 3 days rest in a situation like tonight.

I'm no fan of Edwin Jackson, but he's the kind of pitcher who will look better than what he is in October because of the importance of an overpowering fastball.
It probably wouldn't make a material difference in the series, but the rotation should have been Lohse, Jackson, Carpenter, Garcia.
