While the draft was awful, I would contend the majority of the blame lies with Clark for that one. Further, 2009 was amongst the weakest draft classes in recent history.
Further, how you can pass a verdict on the 2010 second round is beyond me. I was very critical of McCluster and Arenas as second round picks. However, even I will give them three years before declaring them busts.

Not calling them busts, but they are not looking good. So far, it looks like we got one solid return guy out of those two 2nds, one of which was so high it was practically a 1st.
Also, Everybody was floored at the Tyson Jackson pick. I didn't need a crew of scouts to tell me that was an outrageous reach. That was common knowledge as soon as it came out of Goodell's mouth. As it turned out it was even worse than we thought, but even by just common sense standards, that was bad. As for the 2nd pick that year that he spent on Cassel, how much more scouting time did he need for that one? This scouting team BS is a cop out. If he had a mediocre 09 draft or even pretty bad, that would be one thing. He had a collossal failure of a draft. Again, not saying I'm done with Pioli, but I'm not going to excuse that shit.
