I got the belt when I was a kid, too, but only got beaten excessively once, and I never forgot it. If my parents had done anything near what that poor girl suffered in the video, as soon as I turned 17 (because that is when I was a match for my dad), they'd have gotten every bit of it back with interest. I'd have shown them how asses really get kicked.
All that cretin had to do was take the computer away from his daughter. It was not about the computer but about his psychotic control issues.
