Cassel wasn't to blame early.
But again, as I said in another thread, Eli had the same situation last week. Almost identical to Cassel. The difference is in the 4th quarter, he turned it up a notch and fought back. He's spoiled. In most games, he gets 3 and outs and the exhausted defense continues to bail him out. In fact, most top tier QBs have a handful of games in a season where they put a ton of pressure on their QB to put 30+ points to win the game.
Cassel had a bunch of opportunities in the second half to claw the team back. I'm not saying that's the reason we lost, but it's really deflating to know that 9 times out of 10, when the team is down by 2-3 scores early, the game is over.
