Fair enough. If the pass was better the back has a better chance to get OOB and Iowa has a chance to line up for a game winning field goal against a top 10 team. The back had to stop his motion toward the sideline to catch the ball.

WTF is a 3rd yard pass?
FFS if he throws the ball away, he would have had about 7 seconds left and no timeouts.
He saw an opportunity to gain enough yards to get us into GWFG range and took it and it didnt work out.
In more times than not, those types of situations turned into wins as evidenced in his win loss percentage.
