I noticed that I often have different weapons choices when I join a new game. One game I'll be able to have the M4, but the next it will give me an AK47. I really haven't unlocked anything yet though. I just thought it was strange.

The sound quality is great, but the controls and movement seem sluggish. And maybe it was just the games I was getting in, but there were tons of people camping. Probably a bunch of noobs like me feeling their way around.
I think it depends on what 'team' you're on. If you're an American force, or Russina/opposition force etc.

I've only played Conquest so keep that in mind when reading my post:
It took a while for me to get my stick sensitivity set to where I liked it (NTTAWWT). And yeah, depending one what game mode you're in - Conquest, or Rush - there can seem like there are lots of campers. I thought the same thing until I realized that they were probably defending a flag or MCOM respectively.

I quickly realized that I had to sort of plan my route from A to B if running out in the open/crossing a large area. Sometimes, I would just find an alternate route. But, typically when moving at all/advancing etc, taking cover, or taking a route to where you canget to cover quickly is a must.

Also, I recommend sticking with a squadmate or teammate as much as possible. If you both encounter a runner/gunner/lone wolf, chances are he won't get you both. if he does cap one of you, you can respawn onto that squadmante or vice versa. Depending on what class each of you are running, you can support each other with ammo packs and medical packs. And, you don't want to be alone if you turn a corner and you have 3 guys from the other team staring you down, etc.

And remember, in Conquest, it's all about capturing the flags/objectives. If I recall, if your team captures more than 1/2 the flags, the other teams tickets start getting used up at a rate of like 1 per 3 seconds or something. I've played with an entire team before that didn't capture a single flag because they were all worried about their own K/D ratio. So, that can get frustrating.

Finally, remember your role/class you select and do that job. Engineer, fix things and blow chit up. Assualt.....advance/assault and lay down med packs. Support, lay down a butt load of fire and drop ammo. Support is great when you're with a buddy - you can suppress the enemy/keep him pinned down while your buddy gets closer/takes him out if you don't first.

Sorry for the long post; but I had a really tough time starting out too as this was my first BF game. But man, it truly does get better and better the more you play it. Especially if you get in a squad/team that knows it's not MW3/BOPs and plays the game as a team.

I'm on PS3; tag is bubbjo23. hit me up some time. I try to play a little during the week, and usually play a good chunk of hours on the weekend.
