Not reported by Lombardi is that the Chiefs won the game because Cassel was inspired to not suck from that point on. Not reported by Lombardi is that confrontation was the main reason behind their 4 game winning streak.
Weis gets all the credit for turning Cassel into a 3rd replacement Pro-Bowl QB without any context behind it. Cassel turns it on against lesser teams with lesser defenses and craps his pants against everyone else.
It seemed pretty clear to me that Weis was always here on a loan program. He wanted to return to a HC position. He was not going to get that shot in the NFL so a return to the college ranks seemed the logical step. The conversation about the tiff with Haley is all one sided as Haley will not even throw a former coach under the bus even though that coach certainly hasn't gone the same route.
If Pioli is using the media to build a case to fire Haley, he is a chickenshit.
As was pointed out in the other thread, three fourths of people here believe Haley should not be fired, but a new Fire Haley thread comes up almost every day by the vocal minority that wants him gone.
