People were sick of Cassel last year, and his haters grew in the preseason when they saw a measly 5th round rookie have more poise, composure, better form, and more accuracy than Cassel has ever shown, even in his good games against crap teams. People didn't think that was possible. And keep in mind, this was while Stanzi was behind the worst offensive line I think I've ever seen. This year's 3rd stringers were abysmal, and Stanzi kept getting hit, but still delivered the ball several times.

Fans saw that and a whole new world of possibilities when it comes to QB play was revealed.
