About 20 years ago my uncle's house was destroyed by a microburst. Total loss - they got a handful of things out but mostly stuff was destroyed or blown away. However, the insurance company built a brand new house on the existing foundation and loaded it up with brand new stuff, all the the price of a deductible. Looking back now, my uncle says it was the best thing that ever happened to him.
Perhaps one day you'll look on this the same way.
