Okay, so I'm kicking through my roster here and I think I have it figured out. For instance, my dog-ass LT (Palumba) can be replaced by my backup RT (Cherilus) and I just have to deal with the consequences of playing him out of position, right?
Could I also list McClain as my #1 FB, but aslo my #3 HB?
As for injuries - I know it says the simulation is based on performance, does that also mean there is no possibility of 'carryover' injuries? For instance, MJD was a workhorse God, but in a simulation, could he twist an ankle in week 3 and miss the 2nd half? Could that injury then carry over to week 4? Or is it that a player is going to be healthy for the entire game he starts and will be healthy for as many games in the sims as he was in the regular season?
In other words, I know my limit on starts for Trufant is 4, but does that also mean I'm guaranteed 16 healthy starts from MJD? Or do the 'guaranteed starts' only constitute the outer-bound?
