It's not "true fan" when right tackle and center (assuming Wiegmann retires) are the biggest holes on this team. That's simply being objective and rational.
People wanting to burn a first rounder on a guy like Tannehill are utterly insane.
I'm all for drafting a quarterback, but beyond Luck and Griffin, there is nothing to get excited about and to go major desperation and reach for a guy like Tannehill is flat out bat shit crazy.
It's also a little crazy wanting to pick Richardson as Charles is one of, if not the, best backs in the NFL. You don't waste a first rounder picking another running back when you already have one of the best. Yeah, it's a two back league at this point, but when you have a guy like Charles, you don't need to go draft a position that has the shortest lifespan of any spot in the NFL in the first round.
The Chiefs aren't going to get Luck or Griffin. Period. Drafting Richardson is a waste. It would be like Minnesota drafting him. There are other holes to fill. (Unless Charles' knee is a problem. If he is a red flag medically, then Richardson should be considered even though I think drafting a running back in the first is a questionable move. But I don't think Richardson is going to be there anyway.)
And if they make a move for Manning, do you really want him being protected by Barry Richardson? (And if the Colts cut him as expected, I think that the Jets are the #1 destination at this point.)
