Anyway, I do honestly think you're wrong. Patriots are reloading, not winding down. If Brady can play reasonably effectively over the next 3-4 years, then we have as good a shot as anyone in the somewhat weaker AFC to get back to the big dance.

This year's playoffs in the AFC had the Ravens (Lewis and Reed are also quite old, and the heart and soul of that team), Steelers (can't knock them), Tebows (please), Texans (rising power, if they can stay healthy), and Bengals (strangely, I'm not confident they'll have long-term success).

I'll take Brady, Belichick, two GREAT TEs under 25 years old, a 31 year old Welker, and a defense that really has nowhere to go but up, thanks...
