Well, she told me on the phone that she was dead set on going and was excited for it. I said "why didn't you call/text earlier in the day to talk about it?" and she said that she felt we had plans, and that she was going to call at 5pm when she got off to discuss where, and by that time, I had 'already' made other plans.
