But yeah, this is really depressing, and I'm on the verge of running through the amazing stretch of episodes he appeared in on Seinfeld yet another time so that's going to be really weird. He was so incredibly fun to to watch on both Seinfeld and MitM, and a few days ago I was scrolling through basic cable while visiting family in TN and was shocked to discover that he was in the inimitable Kevin Costner classic
The Postman. So sad to hear that he's gone through so many health issues that he'd rather be dead.
What's especially depressing is that his quality of life is going to be even
worse now; an old neighbor of mine similarly tried and failed to kill himself (with weed killer, jesus christ

) only to go deaf, suffer renal failure, and eventually succeed in killing himself on his second attempt after what must have been a horrible year of knowing he was slowly dying anyways.
