You need jazz...

Mouse over the events and make sure you go on a night where there's music in the 'KC Jazz Club' (it's a smaller setup when they play in the dining room... not as entertaining, IMO). Unless it's changed, it's usually Friday and Saturday nights, and maybe a night or two during the week. Bram Wijnands has opened at Carnegie Hall... yeah, he's pretty good.
You can eat in the main dining room for a quieter meal and then go down to the jazz club for a drink and music later, or just eat/drink/hang out in the jazz club.
Dress is casual, but most people show up in business/business casual.
You can't go wrong with any of their steaks... steak soup is a must, twice baked potato, and if you like apple crisp, it's the best ever. And they have a long wine list.

I'm not a Jazz fan, but it sounds like a great place. Steakhouses and wine are a bad combo for me. The last time I did that, I dropped almost $600 at Gibson's. The time before that was at Capital Grill. I don't even remember what I spent, but I do know that I ordered 3 bottles of wine at $170 a pop. It was probably close to $700 between the wife and me...then my buddy picked up the tab. Nice
Good times, but it's an expensive habit.
