I'm just ribbing you, but there's some truth to it.
I rarely acted out. There were consequences, and all of them sucked far more than a bruise on my ass. Spanking = lazy discipline. If your parent knows you and knows your personality, they can tailor a punishment far more irritating and life altering.
Parents today simply don't discipline at all. I hate the idea that spanking is the the best or only viable discipline. Some people are really hung up on it though.
