2012 NFL Draft
Dennard is projected to be a second to fourth-round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.[3][4] He was at one point considered one of the top cornerbacks of the draft, but has encountered a series of setbacks since, which has caused his draft projection to fall. In his final game as a Cornhusker Dennard was ejected for fighting with South Carolina receiver Alshon Jeffery.[5] He then experienced a lackluster Senior Bowl performance later that month.[3] On April 21, he allegedly punched a police officer outside a bar in Lincoln, Nebraska, and faces charges of third-degree felony assault.[6]
