That's a very reasonable price (which I just mentioned). 7 years puts him at age 34 when the deal runs out. That's the perfect age to figure out if he's still got juice in the tank and if he should stick around with the team. But no more than 7.
I really don't see why Pioli can't get Bowe's agent down to that number. If he can't, then our suspicions can probably be confirmed. Bowe IS being unreasonable.
