Placing a dollar value on Bowe is difficult given the QB situation. Is he the player that in a 5 game stretch(admittedly against weak opposition) looked like the best receiver in the league or is he the guy who drops a routine pass in Indy that cost the Chiefs the game? Is he the D. Bowe who showed up overweight for training camp, or Dwayne Bowe who worked his tail off under Haley?
He ran a 4.40 and a 4.49 at his Pro day and has performed well for the 23rd pick in the draft. He is 27 years old so this is his "show me the money" contract.
Receivers change teams in the league because their value is difficult to measure. Diva's are not worth the headaches but guys like Fitzgerald and Andre Johnson bring it game in game out. I hope Bowe is in that company. Sign him but don't overpay?
