That's why I don't go to movie theaters any more.
I had a similar incident in Denver. (I think I even posted it on here.)
A friend of mine was on-call and at the last minute, got a call to go to another jobsite. So, I just went into the theater alone to watch
Big Fish.
I could not have sat at a worse spot: To my left, there's this older gentleman who has the cold. Yet, he takes it upon himself to go to a public theater anyways.
Behind me, are three kids who love nothing more than kicking the back of my seat even though I asked them politely TWICE! to stop.
To my right, is a young lass who can't go 5 mins without checking her cellphone. Whenever she flips open her phone, the theater is illuminated by the glow of her phone.
Needless to say, I'm pissed. After a few minutes of this, I get up and pretend to lose my balance and grab the back of my seat. This allows me to intentionally drop a big cup of iced soda all over the kids legs seated behind me.
I then hastily move in front of the girls to my right and again pretend to lose my balance, kicking one in the shin and knocking over their bag of popcorn seated on the floor between them.
I find an empty row, a few rows behind everyone, and enjoy the rest of the movie in pure solitude.
