The point isn't the ice (or lack therof) it's that the service is piss-poor, and to warn others not to buy a Sears warranty and get screwed. I'm lucky it's only ice, somewhere some poor bastard has no refrigerator and is being told they will come look at it in 16 days.

Depends. A lot of warranties don't transfer with a sale.
Like I said, warranties are written by lawyers to protect the companies that sell them, not protect the consumer.
