It was a sad day for sure. I heard a great interview with Leo Mazzone, former Braves pitching coach, this morning. The Braves played the Mets in that first game after the towers fell and he was talking about how emotional it was. That's the game Piazza hit the big game winning home run and the place went crazy and people were crying etc. It was very symbolic. He said the ump missed a solid strike three right before the home run and he and Bobby Cox just looked at each other and were like, "we can't argue that tonight."

He said it never felt so good to lose.....
