Hardly some Jerry Rice in his prime type shit. And yes, numbers matter.
He's on pace for 1,600 again this year. He struggled as a rookie and missed a couple of games in 2009 that would've gotten up him to that same 1100-1200 range. And lets not act like he was catching passes from stars in those years either - Stafford was hurt and CJ was still doing 1,200/season over the 3 years prior to 2011.

The Calvin Johnson you're watching right now is better than anything Dwayne Bowe will ever be. He's bigger, he's faster, he's more athletic. He's just better.

I don't see how you can argue that.
