Saying that Bowe puts up good numbers with shitty QB's is irrelevant.
You could ALSO argue that with a great QB (that spreads the ball around) Bowe could have worse numbers than with the Chiefs.
A big reason Bowe has put up big numbers on this team is because Cassel goes to him as his #1 read whether he is covered or not, and has since 2009. Same to be said with Huard.
I firmly believe that Bowe has MORE catches due to our shitty QB situation.
To counter my point, an argument could also be made that he would have better YAC with a different QB that can get him the ball in the right spot instead of making him slide/jump/dive to catch it. So when you say better NUMBERS, you need to specify what numbers you are talking about.
I like Bowe, I think he can be great in this league... but he needs a fresh start with a new QB to do that. I think he's just going through the motions on this team, and that is why you are seeing dropped balls. I think he knows that this team isn't going anywhere and he's just in "fuck it" mode.
The fact is, a GOOD QB can make any WR look good because he can put the ball in his fucking chest or hands. Bowe has to make circus catches all of the time to bail out Cassel. In Aaron Rodgers world, he can put it on the back shoulder like nobody's business. A thrown ball that ANY WR can catch. We see WR's come and go through this league all of the time. They develop a certain relationship with the QB, they gain trust, and they get more attempts.
Tannehill could feel more comfortable throwing to guys he has been around this year and Bowe may hardly ever see the ball. We won't know until it happens.
You are seeing Brandon Marshall have another breakout year because he's back with Cutler. Even though Cassel sucks, there may not be another QB on another team that is SHITTY enough to throw ONLY TO BOWE, which would decrease his numbers.
My point is, while Bowe is a nice asset to ANY team in the NFL.... not having him isn't going to stop us from going to a super bowl once we get a LEGIT QB, a better GM, and fill some holes on our defense.
