I've been an advocate of firing Pioli ASAP for quite a few weeks. I was suprised that it wasn't last week until I remembered the trade deadline is next week, the Tuesday after week 8. Could Clark be letting Pioli put together a trade? After the deadline, there's nothing that couldn't be done by a consultant/2nd in command until the end of the season. I know some would argue that there's scouting reports to go over, etc., but does that person have to the the GM? It would make more sense to me to go on autopilot for the remainder of the season while both performing a search for a new GM and appeasing the fans.
