Given all the turmoil right now, I think a loss to the Raiders next week seals the deal on Pioli. Lose and come next Tues., he's gone. Clark brings in a consultant for the rest of the season to manage day to day stuff and lead the search for a new GM.
Those Goldman Sachs guys play it pretty close to the vest and it is all about the money. They're a pretty ruthless bunch. He may have the season ticket holders cash, but he doesn't have the beer/hot dog money locked up. Single game tickets are still available. Blackouts could still happen and that would drive down merchandise sales.
