Broncos’ Williams avoids jail time for DWAI
Broncos linebacker D.J. Williams isn’t going behind bars. But he’s also not going to leave his house for a little while.
CBS Denver tweeted Wednesday morning that Williams avoided jail time at sentencing today, but he will be ordered to house arrest after the season.
This is big news for the Broncos, who could use a linebacker with Joe Mays in particular struggling, and the rest of the linebacking corps as a group average at best. Williams avoiding jail time means he’ll be able to return in three weeks, after the Broncos play the Panthers in week 10.
