If he has friends and players on that team who feel he's like family and need to mourn the person they knew then I am not going to begrudge them that. I just don't think the entire organization needs to be organizing or supporting team wide displays.
I don't think it's fair for us to judge how anyone mourns the death of their friend and teammate. Grief is a very personal thing and while we might see a murderer many of his teammates see Jovan. They are still trying to process WTF has happened in the past 36 hours.
