Thoughts on the offense:
Eric Hosmer and Mike Moustakas better improve. I expect Gordon and Butler to do about what they do. I expect Escobar to take a step back, but still be a .280 hitter who OPSes around .700-.750, plays great D, Perez to be a great defensive catcher and hit .280-.300/20/75-80 RBI/.800-.850 OPS.
If Hosmer rebounds and Moustakas makes a full season look like the first half of 2012, then the offense is just fine, and trading Myers truly was moving a surplus for a deficit.
Still doesn't make the value of the deal look better to me, though.
