There are guys out there that can get behind safeties and stretch a defense without being sub 4.4. Getting someone that fast would be a luxury though, certainly.

i dont know if you follow the NFL but Todd Pinkston and Freddie Mitchell were both fast essentially yes, like Percy Harvin and Desean Jackson. Both guys ran a 4.45 which is essentially saying, Andy Reid has always had a fast WR in his scheme. ALWAYS. Speed.
Todd Pinkston was clocked running an unofficial 4.37, so your argument is actually back firing.
