What it probably means is they were not impressed with Geno in the combine. It's probably as simple as that. They were keeping all avenues open, working the trade angles while evaluating guys in the Senior Bowl and combine. The night after the QB's do their thing, they pull the trigger on this trade.
They either are going to draft a QB and wing it, or they were so turned off by everyone after today they felt like they couldn't wait to pull the trigger and be left without a QB they liked.
