Alex Smith is a talented NFL QB. He's not a franchise QB. He's also not Matt Cassel.
If our plan is to trade for Smith and pretend that addresses the QB position then I think Reid and Dorsey are ****ing stupid.
if we trade for Smith and still take a QB early in the draft then I am inclined to at least give this regime a chance.
