Here is my question.....

This whole "report" came out at an odd time. It surfaces after the QBs have worked out at the combine and after a couple weeks worth of reports that the 49ers aren't getting much interest about Alex Smith.

I'm starting to think that there is one team out there that low balled the 49ers for Smith and the 49ers are trying to use this to either try and drum up interest from more teams who didn't like what they saw with the rookie QBs....or trying to use this to up the pick that was offered by the one team.
