Do you see a Colin Kaepernick in this draft?
And that's besides the point. I'm sick and ****ing tired of people pointing to a team that drafted ALDON FREAKING SMITH at #11 overall and compare it to us drafting a shitass like Joeckel at #1 overall. THEN they have the nerve to compare Colin Kaepernick under the tutelage of Jim Harbaugh vs Mike Glennon, Tyler Bray, Ryan Nassib, or EJ Manuel.
They're not even close. One team was a team with a history of acquiring franchise QBs and could afford to take the BPA route, and the other team hasn't drafted a guy since 1983. One team had only Jake Locker available to them, the other team has their pick of ANY of 2013's QBs.
The differences go on and on. So no, that's not an acceptable strategy. It's a weak strategy. It's not considered myopic to demand a team to look at one position and one position only at 1.1 when it's so CLEARLY obvious that's what they should do.
