Here is the thing.... when you have the overall #1, you should be able to draft a pro bowl LT for the next 12 years... or a stud DT for the next 8-10. There is never a guarantee, but you dont see teams swing and miss on those guys drafted that high. In regards to QB's, history has taught us that its a lot easier to swing and miss on them. But football is a quarterback driven sport. My post about the last 10 SB winners shows that out. At some point, if you are really serious about winning a SB, you may have to gamble with a #1. I dont believe that Geno is a sure thing like Luck is. But I certainly dont see him as a Tannehill, or Weeden or Gabbert. I think a decent comp would be Matt Ryan. I view him as a much better prospect than Ponder and maybe on par with Dalton. Just my .02.....
