I agree with this. Alex Smith played horribly, especially down the stretch and in OT, against the Giants. I knew that game would come down to who made the first mistake because Alex couldn't move the chains or make the big throw and Eli was getting crushed/hit on every single drop back.

Alex Smith can very easily be what Trent Green was here in KC. That's his ceiling.
That's a ceiling I don't want. I'd rather have a guy with an Aaron Rodgers ceiling (Geno).
