I understand your frustrations. But know where I am coming from as well. The 49ers were down right terrible for a decade. I mean just flat out bad. Top to bottom. Owner (we still have the same owner but they let their son Jed York run the team now), coaches, staff, players, etc. If not for all of that dysfunction, Smith could have been in a much different situation right now. He is just starting to blossom and he is still young as far as NFL QB's goes. It's much better than taking a gamble on a college QB (in a down draft year for QB's) and keeping your fingers crossed. You now have a QB that can make you a better team from day 1.
