I agree with you. In his mind, I guess he thinks Alex Smith is a franchise QB. What I was trying to say is if he thought Geno Smith had a chance to be a franchise QB, he would take him at #1. Period. Even if Reid has a man crush on Alex Smith, you put that aside if you have a chance to draft a rookie QB who can lead your franchise for the next 10 years. So, for Reid to choose Alex Smith, he must really think little of Geno.
I've been there, believe me. Trying to find logic in drafting a 26 year old rookie, and having people try to spin it in the media as a great pick when you know it isn't. That is only one example.
