Thanks everyone for all of the messages, and texts & Phone calls...
I am excited to Welcome Alex Smith to our #CHIEFS FAMILY.....
With That said, and with NO DISRESPECT, I know that the writing is on the wall.... I KNOW I will be looking down at my phone & be reading a text that Matt Cassel has been cut....
That makes me sad..........
I realize that changes have to be made.....I also realize just because you are a AWESOME , WONDERFUL, BIG HEARTED, CARING, KIND "MAN", that dosen't AUTOMATICALLY win football games.....However, Nobody can be Successful, if they don't have the tools to do their job.....
Yes, I emphasized the word "MAN" in my last paragraph....Why, ...Because NO MATTER WHAT HATE, DISPRECT, OR BS THAT PEOPLE THREW AT HIM... Matt Cassel "TOOK IT LIKE A MAN"!!!
Matt was ALSO a LEADER... HOWEVER CIRCUMSTANCES PREVENTED HIM, FROM LEADING...
YOU DON'T HAVE TO "BEAT YOUR CHEST" OR HAVE" CAMERA'S POINTED AT YOU", TO PROVE YOU ARE A LEADER....That's just not the way, MATT "ROLLED!!
Matt Cassel was a team player...
Matt Cassel, didn't inherit a "SUPER BOWL TEAM" OR A "SUPER BOWL COACHING STAFF"!!
This is just my feelings........
I hope that You will be "MAN" enough to respect them.....
In closing, I WISH Matt & his family all the best....Thank you for your efforts.....I know, you will land on your feet.....
