I think the 9 different Offensive coordinators and 3 different HC's in 5 years is more terrible than his stats... I think you forget as well the 49ers changed ownership while alex was playing for the niners which is why there was so much change. I dont even think there should be a debate for wether alex is a good QB or not anymore after the last 2 years his record being 20-5 which i believe our franchise would kill for...
We are crying about Geno a guy most other franchises arent even wanting and people dont know where he will end up since we took alex.. And he hasnt even taken a nfl snap. and we are hating on alex who hasnt even taken a snap for our team..
Screw the past.. 11' 12' Alex was 20-5 NFC championship game under his belt. ill take the QB and go from there.. Next stop tag Bowe and see what 13' brings us. If we finish a crap year then its time to draft Round 1 QB.. i dont care about the 12' draft class seeing as the class is weak anyways.
Take Luke, if alex stinks in 13 ' we take a qb round 1 and we have our star LT to block for him.

What I see is a QB who couldn't do anything except barely manage the game for 5 seasons. Who had little to no success under 8 different coordinators. Who only managed improvement under Jim Harbaugh. Who's been ignored in free agency until the Chiefs. Who's "Improvement" years are still comparable to Matt Cassel.
If a guy can't do anything impressive under 8 different OCs, but looks adequate under 1 specific OC, logic dictates that the player is part of the problem and that 1 specific OC simply managed to work around the deficiencies. We heard the exact same shit about Cassel when they brought him in. And he proved to be exactly what we thought he was. Despite all the "Experts" saying otherwise for nearly the entire 4 years he played here.
It's not so much that his past scares me. It's that he doesn't excite me one single bit. There's nothing about him that gives me any hope for anything other than what we've been experiencing here for the last 40 years straight.
I don't hate Alex. He is what he is. I hate the fact that the Chiefs
settled for Alex, and gave up valuable picks in the process.
Also... **** the idea of taking Joke Lueckel.
