I don't know why anyone in the national media would waste their time writing about the Chiefs, unless something of importance, like a player signing or the changing of regimes happens.
Face it: The Chiefs don't sell many magazine and don't provide much internet traffic as compared to the Patriots, Redskins, Giants, Cowboys, Eagles, Peyton Manning, etc.
