I'm not miserable about it. I'm resigned to it. This is 2009 all over again. He's a slightly closer-to-league-average version of Matt Cassel. That's all he'll ever be. This is a bad, bad move, and there's no other way of looking at it. Alex Smith is a game manager who needs to lean on a team that runs the ball 550 times a year.
It's amazing to me, but the guy's been gone for almost 15 years, and we still haven't purged Martyocrity from this franchise. This is a total Schottenchoker move.
At least it'll be entertaining if Andy Reid tries to put AS at the helm of a pass happy offense. Should go nuclear in an epic way.
