Why does Andy Reid have so much confidence in Alex Smith? I mean, seriously. Let's not just be pithy and sarcastic. What do you suppose made Andy Reid honestly believe that a guy who had never thrown more than 18 touchdowns in a season will suddenly operate his offense at a "high level?"
I am just so confused why they have confidence in this guy.
Is it his intelligence? Is it ball security? Because Reid was the original "throw it 40 times a game" guy. I am really fascinated now.
