There has to be more to the story, no? All this for $15 extra in bets? There has to be something else that isn't being shared - like something more habitual and this was the straw that broke the camel's back. If not, seems a bit silly.
I've been to Vegas a few times and have watched drunk players that aren't paying attention to things like this, and they simply get reprimanded by the dealer. It just can't be as innocent as putting in 3 $5 chips out there at the wrong time.
