I think the Blackledge embarrassment was the fianl blow- he was like I tried that and it failed- won't do that again- and he never did. Business men think like that- you try something and it fails- you don't do it. But football is more than a business though- lots of factors besides dollars and cents- that is something I don't think he ever grasped.
