Wtf? What am I missing? Maybe it was a product of being in a strange place, or she was on the rag, but neither of those experiences seem like behavior I would want to put up with. Especially considering the relationship is new - it will get much worse as time goes on and she gets more comfortable.

Maybe so. Of course, it's also possible that we're hearing a distorted version of events since we only have one side of the story. It's not hard for me to believe that she did some things during this trip that were annoying (she's a girl, afterall). But it's hard for me to believe that it was an entirely one sided affair with Buck behaving like the perfect gentlemen and using flawless dispute resolution techniques to no avail. Chances are that when the going got tough, both of them cracked a bit and the situation escalated from there. I don't know who deserves the lion's share of the blame, but I doubt if either of them are blameless.
And if they want to get back on track, figuring out how much blame each person deserves is probably not the right approach. Forgiveness, understanding, and self-improvement should be the focus for both.
