These arguments are asinine. The 49ers sign his checks...at a RIDICULOUS discount. Cut his ass, and he goes from making $700k to $7m overnight. The 49ers aren't doing him a favor.
...and it's nothing like signing a deal with Nike and wearing Adidas. He is paid to play football, not make fashion statements in the offseason. He had no choice as to who drafted him. As long as he wears the right helmet on Sundays, his baseball cap collection is meaningless.
