Smith can't be the guy he was the last two years. He's in a completely different system that likely won't let him be just that.
He'll either be really good, or bad. I don't think there's much chance he'll be just "mediocre". Typically, Andy Reid offenses don't allow QB's to just get by without much notice, like Cassel did for the most part in 2010.
We'll find out soon enough about Alex Smith. There's no hiding him here.
Which, IMO, is a good thing. I also don't think this front office will have any problems about moving on from him when/if he isn't what they want him to be.
