his only deep threat ever for the 49ers was Vernon Davis. He had absolutely no problems with finding Vernon Davis, at any spot on the field, ever.
Please tell me who the other deep threats that he had. You talk about Michael Vick. Michael Vick, has Desean Jackson, and Jeremy Maclin. Cam Newton, has STEVE SMITH. Of what caliber receiver has Alex Smith ever had to throw the ball deep to? Alex Smith, can make every throw on the football field. He does not have the pure arm strength that Vick, Cam, or Kaep does, but that does not mean that if he had an Andre Johnson, or Calvin Johnson, or Desean Jackson type that he couldn't throw the ball deep. he would. He just hasn't had that. he does kind of have that now. I believe unless I am wrong, that Dwayne Bowe is the best receiver, Alex Smith will have ever played with......
