Alex Smith isn't. And it's going to cost us.
I also don't think Alex Smith is good in the red zone. If you take a look, he threw the fewest TD passes in the entire NFL in 2011 when his team was in the red zone. His completion percentage and, of course, yardage, was also extremely low.
When the opposing team knows your QB can't put the ball in the end zone, bad things happen to your offense. That's just common sense.
